If you can’t remember your password, you need to reset it before you can select a new one. Click the “Forgot Password” link on the AT&T Log In page (link in Resources) and enter your full Bellsouth email address in the User ID field. Enter your last name, click “Continue” and select how you want AT&T to help you retrieve your password. You can request the receipt of a temporary password or you can answer a few security questions to authenticate your identity. Reset your Bellsouth.net Email Password with a Temporary Password
If you don’t know the answers to your security questions, follow these steps.
Note: This method is only available if you have saved to your account a contact email address that is different from the address for which you are attempting to reset the password.
- Visit the Forgot Password page.
- Select Password.
- Enter your Bellsouth email address and your last name.
- Select Continue.
- From the drop-down menu, select Send me a temporary password.
- Select how you’d like the temporary password sent to you.
- Select Continue. Check for the temporary password.
- Copy the temporary password and enter it in the provided field. Follow the instructions to create a new, permanent password. If you mistakenly close the window, you can use your temporary password one time by going to the myAT&T sign-in page. You will then be prompted to create your new password.
From a web program, go to the web address “att.net”.
Tap on Sign in the interface from the upper right-hand side of the landing page. You will be re-coordinated to the Login page.

- If you chose a temporary password, enter the password you received. The temporary password page will tell you where the password was sent.
- Create a new password.
